Life Challenge Worship Pastor / Longview Campus
What is your passion regarding the Kingdom of God, the Church, our Church, your ministry?
My passion is to engage people to seek His face more intimately in worship and to disciple, equip, and challenge people in the worship arts realm. It is my desire to not only lead worship on the platform but to live a life of worship off-stage as well.
What is your life verse and why?
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NKJV) This verse has empowered me in many pivotal moments of my life. It reminds me to not operate in fear but in His in love. I persevere by remaining in His presence.
What was your salvation experience?
I got saved at a young age of 6. I knew God was real and that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for me. It was not until I turned 12 years old that I really began understanding Christ’s passionate pursuit for me. As I battled peer pressure from public school and started to get confronted with many negative opportunities, I began to see that the weight of my decisions rested on me and no longer on my parents. God gave me a vision of two roads diverged, one leading to darkness and one leading to light. I felt Him drawing me closer to Him. I have been running after His heart and abiding in Him ever since.
Why did you get into ministry?
At first I got into the ministry mainly because I did not want to surround myself with those who do not love God. It is much deeper than that now. I long to serve the bride of Christ and I find great joy in seeing lives changed for His glory.
When did you join LC Leadership?
I joined November 2009.
Who is in your immediate family?
My mother, Melonie Caudle, and her husband, Kenny; I am very thankful for both of them. Without my mother I would not be where I am today. I cannot imagine how many prayers for me her walls hold. My love for her goes deep.
My little brother, David, and I have gone through almost every trial and hardship
together. I love him very much. My pops, Jeremy Fountain, is a crazy old man. He has taught me how to be adventurous and conquer anything. He has my love. My grandparents, David and Vickie Owen, who have poured so much into me. Words cannot express my gratitude and respect for my grandfather. He has been there for me my whole life. He has taught me to be a hard working man, who has integrity and passion to accomplish whatever task that is before him.
Where is your favorite place to pray?
Outside as the sun rises. My room would be my second favorite.
